in other news, i just booked my flight to orlando for our disneyworld trip! wahoo! to say i am excited is an understatement. i know that one day i will be overjoyed at taking children to disney parks because there is so much happiness for them. i mean, it's the happiest place on earth! but for now, as an adult, i. am. thrilled. plus, i've been trying to convince my family that we need to go on a family trip to harry potter world for the last three years. mission accomplished. and you're welcome to my family for my perseverance.
also, here's a shout out to southwest airlines who fully funded my trip because i signed up for their credit card. best. deal. ever. so if you're looking for some free flights and a lovely credit card, look them up. you'll thank me while you are finally booking your (stateside) daydream trip. ha. there's a little bit of free advertisement there for you, southwest.
also, there's a trip to the grand canyon happening next month. that, my friends, is one place i've always wanted to go! so in preparation for our grueling 18 mile hike, jess and i are doing little hikes. you know, to prep ourselves. (as much as we can, of course) so this weekend we hiked up this trail in pleasant grove, battle creek falls. who knew there would still be snow?!
we did not, obviously. but the mountain man who passed us as we determined how to cross the creek? he did. he came on the hike in waders. and just hopped right across that creek. splashing, even. we used the rocks. we did not splash.
